CHALLENGE: Sigmatek was exploring possibilites to re-establish their rapidly growing operations that specializes in high tech CADD programming of nesting software for die-cutting processes. Not sure whether they could buy or would have to continue to rent, they were looking for assistance in determining which direction to go with their next phase of operations.

SOLUTION: Sigmatek retained K4 to determine the feasiblity of purchasing an existing facility. Our investigation coupled with our design abilities provided a feasibility study to the Client illustrating how we could transform a 1980s-vintage building into a world headquarters for them with a high-impact design. K4 designed the high-tech, high-impact entry to promote the company’s steel-industry ties. We also developed a dynamic interior with a transparent wall, curving hallways, and a coffee bar / café for the employees. This award-winning design was accomplished on a tight budget because of K4's ability to deliver high-design, design/ build solutions.
